CASA Kids Playing

Who we are:

Children who are taken from their homes due to neglect or abuse come under the jurisdiction of the courts and need someone to speak up in their best interests.  Volunteer Advocates represent their needs in court and make sure they are given the best possible care in the best possible home.  CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County recruits and supports these volunteer Advocates.

Our Goal:

CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County’s goal is to provide a volunteer Advocate for every child who needs one.  Currently only 70% of the children who need an Advocate are being served by CASA.

For each child under the Family Court’s jurisdiction to be served, CASA must raise the funds necessary.  It costs approximately $3,800 a year to train and support each volunteer Advocate.

Funding comes from many sources including donations from individuals and businesses in and around Montgomery County.  The three largest annual fundraisers are the CASA Gala, the “Speak Up For Kids CASA 5K,”  and the Northside Lexus Golf Tournament.
