CASA is pleased to announce our 2011 "Woman of Distinction" Honoree Mrs. Susan Olver

Susan has been a part of the CASA family since 2006 when she first joined CHAMPS (CHildren Are My Priority), a fundraising arm for CASA.
Susan quickly became one of our dedicated advocates and she has advocated for fourteen children. When CASA was in need of a "Holiday from the Heart" party co-chair, Susan stepped up to fill the position, and has helped to bring joy to our CASA children for the last 6 years. Susan is also part of our annual CASA Gala committee having served on numerous committees since 2006.
Susan says "the one thing I regret is that I wish I had found CASA many years ago." Susan’s dedication to the CASA children, commitment to our organization, and her desire to make a difference each and every day make her our perfect 2011 "Women of Distinction" honoree.
Advocate of the Year 2010 - Judy Niekerk
Choosing the Advocate of the year is never an easy task…because we have an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure that the children we serve will have the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving environment.
In 2006….Judy Niekerk, a “no nonsense” real estate broker, made the decision to become an advocate because she believed that every child deserved a chance. Since that time, this “amazing woman” has used her talent, determination, compassion, and humor to advocate for more than 27 children…..logging thousands of miles and countless hours on their behalf.
Last year….when faced with the sudden loss of three supervisors in 3 months….Judy called and said…What do you need?…What can I do? and How can I help? She stepped in to help supervise cases…assist volunteers…and give staff morale a needed boost.
It is an honor to recognize this champion of CASA and our children as our 2010 ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR
