Thank you to our GALA committee
Denise Inman, Patty Spahr, and Kathy Staph, the co - chairs, and all the Committee Members who worked so hard and so smart to make this Gala successful. The committee's hard work, creative talent and passion for CASA kids was clear every moment during our Gala evening! Thank you, Denise, Patty, Kathy, and Committee Members.2012 "butterfly effect" Gala was a great success

- The CASA 2012 Gala was a great evening of dining, dancing, games, and auctions for the nearly 500 attendees, and the proceeds will allow CASA to provide an advocate for over 260 children this year. Items purchased in the live auction included: a trip to a summer home in Burgundy, a spectacular diamond necklace donated by Shannon Fine Jewelry and Watches, a week at a charming cottage in Cape Cod, and many more.
The Fund A Child video was CASA's most successful Fund A Child Gala call for donations to date, highlighting an Advocate's role in rescuing a child from a situation of extreme neglect into a safe and loving "forever family"
CASA's honoree for the evening was David Trice, of Northside Lexus. David sponsors one of Houston's premier golf tournaments, and CASA is the beneficiary.
And the Gala's Presenting Sponsor for the evening was TETRA Technologies. TETRA was our first Presenting Sponsor, and we are very grateful for their support!
Oak Ridge High School built a cottage-style playhouse/gardening shed, underwritten by Anthony Garcia Real Estate Services, that sold in the auction for $3,000.
Our master of Ceremonies for the evening was Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1 Dana spoke passionately about CASA's work with children who've been abused and neglected, and she also kept us entertained throughout the evening. Ray Burgess, an attorney in Conroe with Hope & Causey, served as auctioneer his fantastic auctioneering skills made the live auction and Fund A Child appear both successful and fun! Live music was provided by Smith Sound, and attendees danced until the band put away their instruments at midnight.
