Speaking Opportunities

As a non-profit organization, we are very dependent on the generosity of the people in our community for financial and volunteer support. It is critical that we ‘spread the word’ and let people know about the issue of child neglect and abuse in our county and the role CASA Child Advocates plays in helping to break that cycle.

We are a relatively small organization so the best way for us to ‘spread the word’ is to be invited to speak to as many groups, associations, clubs, businesses as possible.

In addition to Staff and Advocates, we are very fortunate to have Mrs. Bonnie Hubert, 2009 Mrs. Texas International, as one of our key evangelists and speakers.

Bonnie is very well qualified to speak on the topic, being a crisis child counselor by profession and very involved supporting the work of CASA.

Should your organization wish to hear about CASA and the issues in the community, we are willing and prepared to talk about this in the context of:

• Being a non-profit organization
• The satisfaction of advocating for children
• Business and Association partnerships where we partner to meet our social responsibilities
• What is happening on our own back yard
• The plight of children caught in the juvenile justice system
• The issue of children aging out of the system with no family support structure
• The issues facing a growing number of grandparents in our community who are now having to raise their grandchildren

We have a vast array of topics that we can explain and discuss and we are happy to work with you to tailor our material to fit your audience and objectives.

Our objectives are to raise awareness of the issues, the children in our community without safe, permanent, nurturing homes, and the very important role CASA plays in being a constant, steady voice whose only interest is in doing what is best for the child.
