Volunteer Information

It only takes 1 Adult for 1 Child to give them a Lifetime of Hope.  You can be that 1 adult who gives hope to a CASA child. 

CASA offers day & evening classes for your convenience.  Upcoming training classes are as follows - 
        
AUGUST TRAINING    

  • Evening class - August 2,3,4,5,9,10,11,12, and 16th.

        Evening class hours are 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  • Day class -      August 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, and 26th.         

        Day class hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

SEPTEMBER TRAINING

  • Day class - September 23,24,27,28,29, and 30th.

    Day class hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

OCTOBER TRAINING

  • Day class - October 14,15,18,19,20, and 21st.

    Day class hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

NOVEMBER TRAINING

  •  Day class - November 11,12,15,16,17, and 18th.

     Day class hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

     

 IN-SERVICE -

August 18th - 11:30-1:30PM - CASA office. 
 Topic -
DFPS named the temporary Managing Conservator of the children.
 Guest Speaker - Amy Kembrell (DFPS) Amy will share her expertise on this topic.


September 15th 11:30-1:30PM at the CASA office.
 Topic -
Resources for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBTQ) adolescents, ages 13-20.
 Guest Speaker - HATCH - A social & support group for GLBTQ adolescents in the Houston and    surrounding areas.  For more information www.hatchyouth.org
